Police hunt truck and Bobcat thieves

Police hunt for thieves who stole a rigid truck as part of an elaborate theft

April 27, 2010

Police are hunting thieves on Brisbane’s northside who stole equipment including a rigid truck in what is believed to be part of an elaborate scheme.

The rigid truck and electrical items were taken from a Brendale business, which is near a construction site where a Bobcat was stolen out of a shipping container.

A sub station on a nearby local road was also broken into where copper wire was taken.

"Police are investigating if the offences are linked, with the possibility the offenders used the truck to steal the Bobcat and then the Bobcat to steal the copper wire," a police statement says.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact police on 1800 333 000.
