Truck crash on Pacific Highway – expect delays

Police warn of delays on Pacific Highway after truck carrying scrapped car rolls over

April 16, 2010

Motorists are being warned of extensive delays on the Pacific Highway in northern NSW after a truck carrying scrapped cars rolled over early today.

A salvage operation is currently underway to recover the overturned vehicle and clear the roadway, which was closed at Bulahdelah when the vehicle rolled about 3:45am.

The truck stopped across the north and southbound lanes and will need a crane to move it.

Both northbound lanes reopened about 11:30am but only one southbound lane is in use.

Motorists are being urged to take alternative routes where possible or to deal with delays.

An investigation is underway into what caused the incident.
