Nominations open for this year's Australian Freight Industry Awards, which recognise the sector's best and brightest

Nominations have opened for this year’s Australian Freight Industry Awards run by the Victorian Transport Association.
VTA Chief Executive Philip Lovel says the awards recognise the work of those in the industry.
The awards ceremony will be on September 11. Award nominations will close on August 23.
There are six categories, including awards recognising best practice safety, innovation, environment, careers, personality of the year and best freight and logistics operator.
“The awards night will be held at the Melbourne Convention Centre Plenary and will once again be a spectacular event with great food, great music and a celebration of our industry,” Lovel says.
“I strongly encourage companies to nominate for the awards…Entering the awards is a powerful demonstration that shows your organisation values employees and their contributions.”
