ATA congratulates Carroll on Queen’s Birthday honour

Trucking lobby congratulates the "driving force" behind Trans-Help for her being awarded Medal of the Order of Australia

June 16, 2010

The peak trucking lobby has congratulated the “driving force” of the Trans-Help Foundation, Dianne Carroll, for being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia.

Carroll was recognised in the 2010 Queen’s Birthday Honours List, and Australian Trucking Association Chief Executive Stuart St Clair says the award highlights her contribution to the transport and logistics sector.

Carroll established the Trans-Help Foundation in 2005 to support Australian transport personnel and their families in times of need. Trans-Help provides a 24-hour support line, a health and support mobile unit and counselling services.

“Dianne’s Medal of the Order of Australia is well-deserved recognition of her enduring service to our industry and her prominent role in the community,” St Clair says.

“Dianne is the driving force behind the Trans-Help Foundation, which has helped thousands of drivers and their families.”

He says Carroll has worked tirelessly to improve the health and wellbeing of truck drivers, and the award also recognises her service to her local community Omeo through her role with historical and heritage organisations.
