The Safety Drive Day and Working Expo will be held on March 3 next year at the Sandown Racecourse in Melbourne, the Victorian Transport Association (VTA) and the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC) confirmed today.

The Safety Drive day will showcase innovations in making vehicles safer, quieter, more productive and fuel efficient.

The two peak bodies expect to put decision-makers in government and the bureaucracy in close proximity to working vehicles in the hope of giving them a greater appreciation of industry advances.

“This unique event will allow delegates the rare experience of getting behind the wheel of some of the most desired heavy vehicles and passenger cars on the reputable Sandown Racetrack and experience these innovations and technologies first hand,” a statement from the VTA and the VACC says.
