Truck drivers travelling between Darwin and Palmerston will save 20 minutes after the opening of Tiger Brennan Drive extension in the Northern Territory.
The $110 million project has been described by federal Infrastructure and Transport Minister Anthony Albanese as the Territory’s largest road project.
He says the greater Darwin region continues to grow about the national average and that the extension will ensure motorists spend less time in traffic.
“The upgrade and extension of Tiger Brennan is a significant investment in a vital piece infrastructure which will reduce traffic congestion, cut travel times between two of Australia’s fastest growing communities and support the Port of Darwin’s long term expansion plans,” Albanese says.
