WA truckie charged with dangerous driving after allegedly hitting two men on the side of the road

A Bunbury truck driver has been charged with dangerous driving after allegedly hitting two men who were changing a tyre on the side of a road at Myalup, Western Australia.

The 50-year-old accused was driving a prime mover and trailer on the Old Coast Road when his truck drifted onto the road’s gravel shoulder.

The truck hit the two parked cars and both drivers. A 42-year-old man died at the scene and a 44-year-old man died a short time later.

The driver is charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death and will appear in the Bunbury Magistrates Court next week.
