Western Meat Packers will hire more truck drivers after opening new meat processing facility

Western Meat Packers will increase it workforce of truck drivers after opening a new meat processing facility in Perth.

The company says it will hire two drivers to cart goods from the facility. It already has seven metropolitan trucks distributing meat domestically as part of the Western Refrigerated Transport, which was established as part of the Western Meat Packers Group’s cold chain services.

It has spent $4 million installing a modified atmosphere packaging plant at its Osbourne Park site.

Six semi-trailers are contracted to move met from the Cowaramup works.
