A truck and train have collided north of Brisbane, causing delays to motorists and forcing police to impose traffic diversions.

Details are still sketchy, but police say initial investigations indicate a slow moving train hit the front of a truck as it was moving through Strathpine station around 8:20am today.

There are no reports of injuries, and police say minor damage was caused to the truck.

"Traffic is being diverted at the intersection of Kremzow and South Pine Road on each side of the railway line however motorists are asked to avoid the area," a police statement says.
