F3 reopened after human remains discovery

Police operation causes long delays on NSW central coast

The F3 on the New South Wales central coast has been reopened after police closed it due to the discovery of human remains on the freeway overnight.

Trucking companies and their drivers had been warned to avoid the F3 .

NSW Police undertook forensic testing after a motorist discovered human remains on the freeway.

A crime scene was been established near the northbound Gosford off-ramp at Somersby, between the Mooney Mooney Bridge and Kariong Interchange.

The operation had cused traffic queues of up to 4.5 kilometres.

Police have appealed to the public for any information relating to the incident.
