Lovel goes bush to meet VTA members

VTA CEO Philip Lovel will hit the road to hold workshops with regional members

March 15, 2011

The Victorian Transport Association (VTA) is reaching out to its regional members by holding three workshops in country Victoria.

They are being held as part of Freight 2011 and will provide information for regional transport and logistics companies, providing an opportunity for the industry to raise important local issues.

VTA CEO Philip Lovel says the workshops will cover topics such as industry relations, workers compensation, superannuation and business, health insurance and safe rates.

“We are hitting the road to visit out regional members, to find out their issues plus provide valuable information on the latest issues and business advice,” Lovel says.

“Often times our regional members are too busy to come to Melbourne for meetings so this is a great chance for them to join us for an information exchange.

“We also look forward to non-members coming along so they can learn what the VTA is all about and how we can help them.”

The free workshops will be held in Sale on March 23, Wodonga on April 6 and Horsham on May 4.

Additional workshops will be held in Melbourne on April 14 for those who are unable to attend the regional sessions.

People wanting more information can contact VTA on 03 9646 8590.
