NatRoad holds business health check workshops

Twenty-six workshops across the country will be held by NatRoad to help businesses understand industrial relations and fatigue management issues

NatRoad is holding another round of workshops across the country.

Commencing this month, they are aimed for everyone in the transport industry and will go for seven months, with 26 sessions held across the country.

The business health check workshops will cover topics such as mass management, compliance, drugs and alcohol, fatigue management and industrial relations, Member Services Manager Gavin Klingner says.

“From the calls we get from our members, we see a shortfall in the information a lot of them have,” Klingner says.

“We are giving them a helping hand to make sure they are aware of different things and given the tools to get themselves up to speed.”

First trialled in late 2010, the workshops have proven to be of great interest, he adds.

“The workshops are to help members better understand the requirements of a Risk Management System but most importantly, it’s a method of rating your system and ensuring compliance,” Klingner says.

The sessions will be run in conjunction with Strategic Training Group and will start on March 21 in Newcastle.
