An investigation is currently underway into a fatal collision between a B-double and a sedan on Victoria’s Hume Freeway yesterday.

Victoria Police says the truck was travelling south on the freeway at Winton, almost three hours north-east of Melbourne, when it collided with the sedan as it was exiting the Winton off-ramp about 7:18pm.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.

The 40-year-old truck driver, who was travelling alone, was not injured.
