A 47-year-old truck driver has died after veering off the Hume Highway and crashing into trees

A truck driver has died after veering off the Hume Highway in NSW and crashing into trees.

The 47-year-old B-double driver left the road near Marulan about 12:45am today and suffered severe injuries before dying at the scene.

Police officers, paramedics and NSW Fire and Rescue attended the scene but could not save the man.

Specialist forensic officers are currently investigating the cause of the crash and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
