Truck owners, drivers and transport industry identities are gearing up to attend the 16th annual National Road Transport Hall of Fame Reunion in Alice Springs next week.

Up to 1,000 transport industry personnel are expected to attend the event to honour the 94 new Shell Rimula Wall of Fame
inductees who have given the industry a lifetime of service.

The four-day event begins on August 25 and runs until August 28 and includes sausage sizzles, a barbeque, displays,
a book launch and a champagne breakfast. The Wall of Fame inductions will take place from 9am on August 27.

“It’s such a great experience to come up to Alice Springs and honour the lives and achievements of the characters from the Australian transport sector,” says Paul Fisher, Shell Account Manager Indirect Lubricants.

“This is a particularly important sponsorship for Shell as it ensures the longevity of the road transport industry’s heritage in Australia,” Fisher says.
“It also provides us with the opportunity to talk to the experts about their rigs and learn what they want from products like engine oils and diesel fuel.”

This is Shell’s 11th year as a partner of the National Road Transport Hall of Fame. Other must-see events during the four-day celebration include the Cummins Cup at the Alice Springs Turf Club on August 26, and the Shell Rimula Gala Dinner on August 27.
