Delays on Pacific after fatal truck crash

Motorists told of delays on Pacific Highway after a fatal truck accident overnight on the NSW mid-north coast

September 15, 2011

Motorists are being told to expect lengthy delays on the Pacific Highway on the NSW mid-north coast after a fatal truck accident.

A complex recovery operation is underway to remove a semi-trailer that crashed through railing and slid down an embankment onto railway lines at Rossglen overnight.

The accident blocked the North Coast Railway Line and forced police to close one northbound and one southbound lane to investigate the incident.

A contra-flow has been put in place on the northbound carriageway after recovery teams had to close all southbound lanes, meaning there will be only one lane for traffic in both directions.

Motorists have been asked to drive cautiously, expect delays and allow additional travel time.
