The National Transport Commission (NTC) will play a key role in next week’s Freight Week 2011.

NTC CEO Nick Dimopoulos will hold a presentation on the National Land Freight Strategy during the freight agenda day on September 9.

NTC commissioner Frank Muller will also discuss opportunities to reduce freight emissions on Wednesday, and senior manager Jeff Potter will be part of a discussion panel on safety on Thursday.

“We’re looking forward to talking to members of the freight and logistics industry about the issues the transport sector is facing,” Dimopoulos says.

“Importantly, we’ll be there to listen and work collaboratively on the solutions.”

Freight Week 2011 is hosted and organised by the Victorian Transport Association (VTA) and the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce.
