Mack and singer Amber Lawrence to ‘Walk For Life’

Mack Trucks and singer Amber Lawrence join forces to help raise funds for Leukaemia research in Tamworth

January 17, 2012

Mack is set to participate in this year’s ‘Walk of Life’, in aid of raising funds for Leukaemia Research.

Proving they are more then just a trucking company, Mack is to walk behind Ambassador Amber Lawrence at the ‘Walk of Life’ this January.

A cause that is close to the country singer’s heart, this year’s walk at the annual Tamworth Country Music Festival is set to be a big one – especially with the release of Amber’s new album 3.

The debut of Amber’s new album 3 is just out of arms reach, launching on the first day of Tamworth’s 40th annual Country Music Festival, 20 January 2012.

3 is said to be the perfect spread of music for many audiences, with the winning combination of upbeat and optimistic songs about personal contentment alongside those songs symbolic of deeper issues such as hardship.

Amber is no stranger to hardship or heartache, having lost her father to Leukaemia in 2008. It is this underlying current in Amber that drives her to encourage so many others to participate in the ‘Walk of Life’ in attempt to help raise funds for Leukemia Research and Mack Trucks says it was more than happy to support this worthwhile cause.

As the momentum and hype climbs in the lead-up to the iconic festival, over 800 participants are now expected to take part in the ‘Walk of Life’.

The walk itself has now become a tradition, held on the second Friday of each Tamworth Country Music Festival – this year occurring on Friday, January 27.

It involves the participants to walk up to 1km up Peel Street, in aid of raising both funds and awareness for the Leukaemia Foundation.

Mack says it is proud to walk shoulder to shoulder with Amber in the ‘Walk of Life’ and help raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
