NSW Police is appealing for help from the public to track down two males seen hurling rocks at traffic on a 110km/h section of a motorway yesterday.

Police received reports two males were seen on the M5 overpass at Belmore about 7.30pm throwing rocks onto westbound traffic.

NSW Police says 17 people contacted police about the incidents, while at least three cars were damaged. There were no injuries.

“They have only been described as being aged in their mid teens and wearing dark coloured hooded jumpers,” NSW Police says of the males.

“Police are appealing for anyone who contacted police and hasn’t yet spoken to them to come forward, as they suspect further cars suffered damage during the incident.”

Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
