Police probe Sunraysia Highway crash

Contact with B-double precipitates head-on collision between cars, report says

Victoria Police is investigating a three-vehicle collision on the Sunraysia Highway, north of Lexton, involving a truck.

A B-double
and another
vehicle had come into contact two kilometres from Lexton around 6.45pm last night, according to police.

As a result, the car had collided head-on with another car.

A 71-year-old Lexton man was airlifted to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition but has since stabilised.

The highway was blocked in both directions as police investigated the crash scene.

The truck driver is currently assisting police with inquiries.
