A heavy vehicle inspection station on the NSW mid north coast will be relocated, with the new site conducting checks from next week.
The Roads and Maritime Services says the station at Port Macquarie will be shifted to Wauchope, less than 30 minutes away.
A spokesperson for the department says the new site will provide operators with improved access and better inspection facilities.
“Inspections will start from March 5 at the new location of 23 Commerce Street, Wauchope,” the spokesperson says.
“There are more than 100 heavy vehicle inspection sites around NSW and heavy vehicle operators can book in for an assessment up to three months in advance.”
