Victoria Police is appealing for witnesses to an accident this morning where a man was struck by a truck.

The 75-year-old man has sustained life-threatening injuries after being hit by a truck in Melbourne’s Gladstone Park.

Police believe a delivery truck travelling north on Mickleham Road turned left into International Drive around 6.25am where it struck the man crossing the road.

The Brunswick man was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital by ambulance.

The driver, a 48-year old Kilsyth man, is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
