Truck seized over fatal hit and run

Police have seized a truck suspected of being involved in a fatal hit and run in NSW last week

A truck suspected of a fatal hit and run in Sydney’s south last week has been a seized and a man questioned as investigations continue into the incident.

Paul Snepvangers was found lying on McKell Avenue next to his motorcycle in the Royal National Park at Waterfall on June 20 suffering fatal injuries.

NSW Police was told a white flatbed truck was seen driving in the area. Late last week about 12.45am officers searched an address on the Princes Highway at Helensburgh and seized a Hino flatbed truck.

A 52-year-old man was taken to Sutherland Police Station where he assisted police with inquiries. He was released pending further inquiries.

McKell Avenue was also closed for the short time yesterday so police could continue investigating the incident.
