Forsyth, Considine to lead VTA committee

Glen Cameron Group general manager elected chairman of General Freight Committee, with Secon Freight Logistics boss Terry Considine his deputy

November 7, 2012

Glen Cameron Group General Manager Bruce Forsyth will chair the Victorian Transport Association’s General Freight Committee (GFC), with Secon Freight Logistics Managing Director Terry Considine joining him as vice-chairman.

VTA members held elections for positions on the committee, which VTA CEO Neil Chambers describes as the “engine room” for dealing with issues affecting trucking operators.

The 12-member committee, which includes representatives from Border Express, Linfox, Scott’s Transport, Murphy Transport Solutions and Toll, is responsible for shaping the policy directions of the VTA.

“Bruce Forsyth has over 24 years’ experience at Glen Cameron Group and previously at Linfox, so he is well versed in all aspects of freight logistics. He will be a fantastic leader of the committee and we will value his wise advice very much,” Chambers says.

“Terry Considine has been chairman of the VTA Container Group for many years, so his election to the position of vice-chairman of the GFC is a tribute to his commitment to the VTA and to the industry generally.”
