November 7, 2012

Victoria Police is appealing for help to find the person who stole a prime mover from a chocolate factory in Ringwood yesterday.

Investigators believe the offender jumped the fence from a bike track running parallel to EastLink in Melbourne and into the Canterbury Road factory about 4.45am.

It is believed the offender broke into five separate trucks before finding keys and stealing a 2010 Mack prime mover with a trailer and registration number YFY525.

The prime mover was driven through boom gates before turning left onto Canterbury Road and left into Wantirna Road.

It is believed the offender fled the scene when the prime mover stalled at the intersection of Surrey Street.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
