December 14, 2012

The biannual Sandown Drive Days event will be held in March, offering plenty of demonstrations and innovations.

Organised by the Victorian Transport Association (VTA), the two-day event will take place at Sandown in outer Melbourne, showcasing vehicle safety advances and productivity and technology demonstrations.

It will also include working demonstrations of trucks and trailers and sessions on performance based standards (PBS) vehicles and bulk tanker emergency response.

The program will be divided into four key streams featuring on-track driving where delegates can experience some of the latest developments including autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and lane assist and adaptive cruise control.

The technology session will involve a series of practical demonstrations and case studies on fleet, driver and vehicle managements.

Those interested in maintenance workshops can learn more about brakes and suspension, tyres and rims, engine maintenance, service frequency and maintenance schemes.

Attendees will participate in a discussion with experts and can also examine workshop and test equipment.

It will be held on March 7 and 8.
