Police appeal for the public to assist the investigation into the fatal shooting of Dynamic Transport owner Zeljko Mitrovic

January 16, 2013

Police in New South Wales are continuing to appeal for the public to assist the investigation into the fatal shooting of Dynamic Transport owner Zeljko Mitrovic.

The 45-year-old Mitrovic, who was also a member of the Hells Angels, was killed yesterday at his Wetherill Park business.

NSW Police says up to seven men appeared at Dynamic Transport on Hassall Street after 3.30pm and argued with Mitrovic.

Police were told Mitrovic walked away and returned to his first floor office, but was followed by three of the men. One of those men fired a number of shots and Mitrovic subsequently died at the scene.

A 31-year-old man who is an employee at the business suffered an injury to his arm. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Detectives are continuing their investigations into the incident, and have spoken to numerous witnesses and have searched the local area.

They believe the incident was targeted at Mitrovic but are yet to confirm a motive for the attack.

NSW Police says it does not believe the 31-year-old employee is associated with any outlaw motorcycle gangs and that he was inadvertently caught in the gunfire.

Police are appealing for any person with information about the incident who has not yet spoken to detectives to come forward. They are also seeking information on a black car in which some of the men are believed to have arrived in.

Anyone with information about this incident should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page.
