Wyndham City Council is launching a campaign to pressure the Victorian Government to upgrade a notorious road in Melbourne’s west.

The council wants Dohertys Road duplicated between Fitzgerald Road and Grieve Parade and is kicking off the campaign on February 27.

The move comes as transport operators and businesses joined forces recently as part of the Wyndham Industrial Liaison and Development Committee (WILD) calling on upgrades to the industrial hub.

They also want traffic lights installed on the Hume Road intersection.

The council has caught the state of the single-lane road on camera, with the footage sent to the Government for consideration.
