QTA seminar to cover top issues

Day-long seminar to be held this month will cover regulations, remuneration, industrial relations, pricing reform and workplace health and safety

April 5, 2013

A day-long event run by the Queensland Trucking Association (QTA) will take place this month to brief transport operators about topical issues affecting the industry.

The April 24 seminar will be held in Coorparoo from 8.45am 5pm, with sessions focusing on the upcoming federal election, superannuation, national regulations, the Road Safety Remuneration Tribunal and industrial relations.

The seminar will also cover heavy vehicle pricing reform and workplace health and safety, before wrapping up at 5pm and shuffling attendees off to drinks, and then to dinner from 6pm to 9.30pm.

“With 2013 being a federal election year, there will be no political speeches, only factual presentations by experts in their field in order that you understand the issues,” the QTA says in a flyer distributed to the industry.

“The QTA will present a day packed with topics and speakers of significant relevance to your business.”

QTA members and non-members can attend and must register by April 19.
