Deane-Spread takes driver of the year as Parks is runner-up for transport woman gong

Linfox driver Gary Deane-Spread has been named the Professional Driver of the Year at the Western Australia Road Transport Association (WARTA) Awards.
The Perth driver has been on the road for 40 years and was also nominated for the National Professional Driver of the Year award, which will be announced next month.
Deane-Spread has been involved in many transport forums over the years and believes drivers should be more cautious on the road.
Linfox’s Pilbara Manager Kellie Parks was runner up for the Western Australian Transport Women of the Year award.
