June 11, 2013

Peter Duncan and David Galbally have been recognised in a Queen’s Birthday Honours List that was relatively light on recipients in business and industry.

Duncan, the Roads and Maritime Services CEO since 2011 and an experienced bureaucrat, gained an AM in the general division of the Order of Australia for “significant service to public administration in New South Wales, and to conservation and the environment”.

His citation notes his board membership of several road organisations, such as ARRB Group, the Australian Road Research Board, Austroads and, Roads Australia.

Galbally was granted his AM for “significant service to the community, particularly through leadership in health organisations and the provision of pro bono legal services”.

He has been Transport Workers Union Superannuation Fund Chairman since 2000.
