Albury locals asked for input on road upgrades

NSW council is seeking public feedback on two roads that are due for improvements

July 17, 2013

A council near the border of New South Wales and Victoria is seeking public feedback on two roads that are due for improvements.

The Albury Council in NSW has set aside $600,000 for the Griffith and Wagga roads but wants advice on which of the two is more urgent.

Its traffic and transport team leader Steve Swann says the council is accepting feedback this month.

"We’ve developed concept designs for both roads which we’re asking the community to view to help inform their decision," Swann says.

"Wagga Road is a much longer-term project and council is yet to fully scope the works and costs.

"The Griffith Road beautification involves mostly landscaping and improving pedestrian access."
