Ten Murphy Transport Solutions employees have completed training courses aimed to better equip them for the transport industry.

They graduated earlier this month from the VTA Academy, a joint initiative between the Victorian Transport Association (VTA) and labour supply firm Mint Group.

The course was established last year to provide a fresh approach to training and labour solutions for the transport and logistics industry.

More than 60 people attended the graduation ceremony in Melbourne, which saw eight presented with Certificate III in Driver Options, a Certificate III in Warehouse Operations and a Diploma of Business.

VTA Chief Executive Officer Neil Chambers encouraged other companies to follow suit.

"We congratulate Murphy Transport Solutions on this achievement and encourage other companies to make such a commitment to their business and their staff," Chambers says.

"The results will speak for themselves."
