September 20, 2013

Speed cameras on the Peninsula Link in Victoria have been switched on.

There are six cameras, two point-to-point sections and three instantaneous detection points in each direction.

They were turned on at midnight last night and warning signs are now in place advising of the changes.

Victoria Police Road Policing Command Superintendent Dean McWhirter is urging drivers to take care on the roads, especially during upcoming school holidays.

"We are giving the public plenty of warning that the cameras will be activated and enforcing from midnight," McWhirter says.
