Pacific Highway danger area tackled

Delays flagged as safety works between North Arm Cove and Purfleet have started

October 23, 2013

Drivers might experience short traffic delays on the Pacific Highway in New South Wales as safety works between North Arm Cove and Purfleet have started.

Barriers on the 10km stretch will be installed over the next eight weeks as 28 crashes have occurred in the area in the past five years.

The majority of work will be carried out from 8am to 5pm on weekdays.

Changed traffic conditions will be in place, including lane closures and temporary 40kmh speed limit.

Electronic message signs and traffic control will be in place to advice of changed traffic conditions.

The Federal and NSW Governments each provided $1.45 million towards the project.
