QTA to hold seminar on RSRT and workplace bullying

Latest seminar will cover workplace bullying and harassment in the workplace and the functions of the Road Safety Remuneration Tribunal

The Queensland Trucking Association (QTA) will hold an information session next month for transport operators on workplace bullying and the Road Safety Remuneration Tribunal (RSRT).

The November 13 event is part of a series of breakfast seminars on topical industry issues to be held throughout the remainder of the year and into early 2014.

The seminar on workplace bullying and the RSRT will be held from 7am at Eight Mile Plains’ Glen Hotel and will run until 9am.

QTA Employment Relations Manager Travis Degen will talk about the Road Safety Remuneration Act and the functions of the RSRT.

Matthew Smith from Sparke Helmore Lawyers will speak on workplace bullying and harassment in the workplace.

QTA members will be able to send up to two company representatives to attend free of charge, while the cost to non-members is $40 per person.

Those interested in attending need to complete a registration form and return it to the QTA.
