Two specialised transport sectors feature prominently in online business services firm Oneflare.com.au’s quarterly report on the 50 top performing local business industries in third quarter of the calendar year.
Oneflare says it pulled data from over 35,000 Australian service providers to provide analysis of all job requests made during the period July-September.
‘Removalist’ is the top performing home service category and has exhibited growth of more 40 per cent since the second quarter.
“Moving up from second place to first in the second quarter of 2013, Removalists are now the top most-searched-for job category across Australia,” the report says.
“This statistic isn’t surprising, given a recent report by the Housing Industry Association that mortgage-financing constraints have prevented some households from home purchase and towards the rental market.”
And while ‘Courier’ came in at a relatively more modest 16th place, this belies a 120.45 per cent growth rate quarter on quarter and a seven place jump from 23rd place.
This was the best performance on both measures in the top 28 categories.
