Section of Oxley Hwy closed for improvements

Section of Oxley Highway at Ralfes Creek in New South Wales closed while work is carried out to improve safety

The eastbound lane on the Oxley Highway at Ralfes Creek in New South Wales has been closed while work is carried out to improve safety in the area.

The Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is calling on motorists to obey all signs and to drive to the conditions as engineers assess slope conditions.

One lane is closed for about 150m and traffic lights are in place to ensure the safety of motorists.

The RMS expects to carry further work in the coming weeks to determine how the repair the slope following a geotechnical investigation which found it to be unsafe.

The work is being carried out about 54km west of Wauchope.
