Two Men and a Truck has hailed its success in the recent Better Business Awards.

The relocation services franchise operation took out the Sustainable Transport and Staff Support awards.

"Specifically, Two Men And A Truck upgraded our fleet of 30 trucks and vans with fuel-efficient vehicles. We track our fuel usage and often make an active effort to combine loads to reduce the number of heavy vehicles on the road," the company says.

The staff support gong was gained due to the company encouraging "staff participation and input into the development of the business, provides many training and development opportunities, and takes an ethical approach in business operations with the help of the St James Ethics Centre".

"Business is not just about making money, it’s about making an impact, building relationships and playing a role in the surrounding community," founder and brand ambassador Richard Kuipers said at the awards.

"We couldn’t run a business without the people in the community!"
