March 1 memorial service for Terry Considine

A special service to commemorate the life of the late Terry Considine will be held on Saturday, March 1

The trucking fraternity will have the chance to celebrate the life of Secon Freight Logistics CEO Terry Considine at a special memorial service to be held this weekend.

The March 1 service is in addition to the coming funeral on February 27 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at Cheltenham at 1pm.

Considine passed away on Friday, February 21.

The Considine family decided to hold a memorial service on March 1 to give people a chance to farewell the man who played a key role in the Victorian transport industry and beyond.

Considine was well known beyond his role as CEO of Secon, with his passions including football, cycling, church and family.

“This Memorial Service will be another opportunity to celebrate Terry’s life, particularly his professional life in the transport industry as CEO of Secon Freight Logistics, and as a dedicated contributor to issues at the industry level through such organisations as the Victorian Transport Association (VTA),” the VTA says in a statement.

“Terry’s brother, Brendon, has asked us to inform the transport industry and the broader set of VTA stakeholders about this memorial service, to which everyone is welcome to attend.”

The memorial service will be held at 11am at St Leo the Great at Altona North.

Anyone with queries regarding the service can contact Secon General Manager Stephen Nailer on 03 9393 4422 or by email.
