Truck driver shot with air rifle in Sydney
Police are looking for witnesses after a truck driver was shot with an air rifle in Sydney.
A truck driver has suffered minor wounds to the head after he was shot with an air rifle while stopped at a traffic light in Sydney’s southwest.
The incident occurred on Heathcote Road at Wattle Grove at around 5.10pm on Wednesday, November 19.
Emergency services were contacted and the 30-year-old driver was taken to Liverpool hospital.
The man then underwent surgery to remove the object and is expected to be released on Friday.
Following inquiries, NSW police acquired a search warrant for a home in Moorebank where they found two air rifles and air gun pellets.
The police are speaking to a number of people, however they are urging any other witnesses to come forward and contact them via crimestoppers.
