Jim Pearson Transport notches 200th Freightliner purchase

Big east coast operator is loyal to Freightliner brand and Mavin Truck Centre.

Port Macquarie-based Jim Pearson Transport has bought its 200th Freightliner prime mover.

All 200 trucks have been sold through Mavin Truck Centre in nearby Kempsey since Pearson Transport bought its first Freightliner more than a decade ago.

All units have Detroit engines.

“Freightliner continues to be my provider of choice because of their consistent performance,”company owner Jim Pearson says.

“Our decision to buy from Freightliner 12 years ago was driven by the need to work with a manufacturer that was committed to driver comfort and tare weight as well as the availability of commonly used componentry and support I receive from my local dealer.”

Mavin Truck Centre dealer principle Dean Mavin says the milestone highlights Pearson’s support for his local economy.

“A lot of local suppliers have grown as a result of the support they receive from Jim Pearson Transport,” Mavin says.

Talk about brand loyalty. Are you wedded to one brand when it comes to choosing your truck?
