NatRoad 2015: New CEO on the agenda for incoming NatRoad chair Allan Thornley

Allan Thornley has been appointed the new chair of NatRoad.

The managing director of Shaw’s Darwin Transport has been elected as the new chair of NatRoad.

Allan Thornley will take over from Geoff Crouch, who has departed as NatRoad president after four years in the role.

Thornley’s appointment was made at NatRoad’s recent annual conference.

He has highlighted the need to find a new CEO for NatRoad as a priority, after the group recently parted ways with Warwick Ragg.

“Our first priority though is to appoint a new chief executive officer, and I’m pleased to advise that we have received a good selection of high calibre applications which are currently being reviewed for short listing,” Thornley says.

“Interviews will be held in the very near future, and we expect to announce the successful applicant shortly thereafter.”

Thornley has thanked Crouch for his service to NatRoad as its president. Crouch has also served on NatRoad’s council for the past eight years.

NatRoad sacked its previous CEO only five months after appointing him.
