Accountant with livestock sector experience to be NatRoad CEO

Incoming NatRoad CEO recently led the Livestock Biosecurity Network.

A bean counter with extensive experience in the livestock industry has been appointed the new CEO of NatRoad.

Chartered accountant Warren Clark will begin the role on November 2, replacing Warwick Ragg who was ousted earlier this year after only five months in the job.

Though he has had finance experience, Clark has used the past 20 years to focus on leading or overseeing the likes of Australia Meat Holdings, the Poll Hereford Society, Herefords Australia, and more recently director of new markets at Australian Rural Exports (Austrex).

Most recently, for two and a half years, he led the Livestock Biosecurity Network, established in 2013 by the Sheepmeat Council of Australia, Cattle Council of Australia and Wool Producers Australia.

“Warren’s experience in building associations and businesses will help ensure the continued growth of our association and strengthen NatRoad’s ability to support our members’ long-term viability in our industry,” NatRoad president Allan Thornley says.

NatRoad says Clark has more than 20 years’ experience leading and developing business for emerging companies.
