Wastech Engineering adds another Tieman business to its ranks

Wastech now has ownership of two Tieman businesses.

Wastech Engineering has acquired Tieman Industries’ tail lift business to join its purchase of Tieman Industries’ service fleet business last month.

Like the service business agreement, the tail lift arm and its sales staff will operate under the Wastech Field Service umbrella.

Wastech CEO Brett Jones says Daniel Mierendorff and Arthur Cotsios will be the key contacts for the tail lift business, which will undergo a product review to determine which products cater to current customer demands.

Wastech announced its decision to buy Tieman Industries’ service fleet in August, adding its staff and service vehicle fleet to its product offering, while also retaining national branch operations manager Geoff Bent.

In the following days, Tieman’s bulk road tanker manufacturing business – the largest part of Tieman Industries’ three businesses that were placed in voluntary administration – was bought back by two members of the family, brothers Dale and Colin Tieman.
