NHVR board re-elected for second term

Regulator says re-election of board ensures continuity and stability.

Bruce Baird will continue to chair the same board at the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) for at least three more years.

The NHVR announced today its board of directors were re-elected for a second three-year term.

It says the continuation of the existing board ensures leadership continuity and stability for the NHVR.

“We are delighted to have a wide breadth of business and industry expertise on our board to underpin our organisation and support the leadership team to deliver on the regulator’s goals over the next three years,” NHVR CEO Sal Petroccitto says.

Baird chairs the board, while Queensland Trucking Association (QTA) CEO Peter Garske is its deputy chair.

Other board members include NRMA director Coral Taylor; occupational health and safety and industrial relations expert Robin Stewart-Crompton; and Business South Australia chair Vincent Tremaine.
