Caltex opens new truck refuelling facility in Sydney

New site is positioned between Sydney Airport and Port Botany.

Truck drivers now have access to a purpose-built refuelling facility situated between Sydney’s major air and sea transport hubs.

Caltex has opened a new fuel terminal at Banksmeadow equipped with 16 ultra-high-flow pumps capable of shooting out diesel at a rate of 130 litres per minute.

Caltex says drivers have 24/7 access to the site, which houses the premium Vortex diesel, diesel and AdBlue, along with StarCard facilities for drivers and operators taking part in the scheme.

“The new site is ideally positioned between Sydney’s two major international gateways – Port Botany and Sydney Airport – and connected to the key arterial roads that service approximately 7,750 commercial vehicles travelling into the area every day,” Caltex Australia manager Scott Nicholls says.

“Trucks delivering to, or loading from, the Port Botany and Mascot areas will greatly benefit from the new site.”

The Banksmeadow terminal, located at 1-3 Penrhyn Road, is the latest addition to Caltex’s national truck refuelling network which is made up of 200 dedicated truck stops and 300 truck-friendly sites throughout Australia.

Caltex says it plans to open 10 new sites this year, building on the 15 sites added to the network in 2015.

Caltex adds that the location of the Banksmeadow terminal will be added to its ‘My Truck Mate’ phone app and its online truck network locator to allow drivers to find it
