The late Kenworth salesman has been honoured for his extensive career in Western Australia
Western Australian truck dealership CJD Equipment has presented a custom-designed Kenworth C509 to Road Trains of Australia / Hampton Transport Services (RTA/HTS) dedicated to the late Norton Docking.
A long-serving Kenworth salesman in Perth who has been credited with delivering over 120 Kenworth trucks to RTA/HTS through his career, the truck features a commemorative plaque honouring Docking and his memory.
Attended by 30 family and business representatives, the ceremony “was a wonderful event to celebrate a wonderful person,” CJD Equipment says of its former employee.
“Jenny Docking was very humbled by the dedication of the vehicle and the superb ceremony.”
A framed photo of the truck and an identical plaque was also presented to Docking’s widow Jenny and also to the Jones family, who run the Kalgoorlie-based RTA/HTS.
The truck was named ‘The Doc’ in memory of Docking.
