VTA hosting safety regional forums

Four sessions to be held in Mildura, Ballarat, Warrnambool and Morwell next month

The Victorian Transport Association (VTA) will be hosting four regional forums next month to discuss safety issues faced by operators, particularly those outside the Melbourne metropolitan region.

The free events, held in collaboration with the Victorian Enforcement Liaison Committee, will include presentations and practical tips from representatives of the VTA, Victoria Police, VicRoads, TWUSUPER, WorkSafe and 3M.

Session details:

Midlura – August 3 at the Mildura Golf Club, 287 Twelfth St from 7-9am

Ballarat – August 10 at the Ballarat Golf Club, 1800 Sturt St from 7-9am

Warrnambool – August 11 at the Warrnambool Golf Club, Younger St from 7-9am

Morwell – August 24 at the Coal Valley Motor Inn, 141 Princes Drive from 7-9am

VTA states it will be a good opportunity for the industry to engage with experts and key enforcement agencies to discuss safety issues that are of particular relevance to regional operators.

The theme of the sessions is ‘safety at night’.

To register, please call the VTA on 03 9646 8590 or email reception@vta.com.au
