A video was uploaded to YouTube yesterday showing a car being pulled by a truck on a California highway.
The video, captured by witness Brian Steimke, shows the semi-trailer pulling the car, which appears to be caught in one of the rear tyres of the trailer.
The truck driver seems to be unaware as he continues to drive, until the video shows motorists slowing down to a stop in front of the truck to urge him to come to a standstill.
The unusual part of the video was the truck driver’s seeminly calm response.
When Steimke approached the truck driver once he had stopped, asking him why he continued to drive, he got a simple response.
“I didn’t know it,” the truck driver said.
Comments on the YouTube video display a range of theories from people, many suggesting the truck driver may have known. Others suggest it was in the truck’s blindspot.
